Samal Island : Paradise Island, Davao

Hi Nerds!

I’ve been out of town for a week, I have to go to Davao City for work and it was exhausting, tbh. So on my last day there, I went to Samal Island to try out one of their popular resort called Paradise Island.

Working from 9 in the morning ’til 10 in the evening is insanely and utterly tiring. It’s as if I’m dragging myself each day praying that the week will be over as soon as possible. So idea came, since I’ve worked my ass off for six days, why not go out and check some beach here, right?

I still have a work on Saturday but only for 4 hours so I have few ours left to experience the Davao. The ride from my Hotel to the place where you have to ride a boat is about 45 minutes to 1 hour jeepney ride. It cost me P13.00 for fare. I arrived at the port by 3pm. It was a mistake that I left the hotel around 2pm because I learnt that the boats there will be available until 5pm only. So that means, I have to pay for the entrance fee at the rate of Overnight.

The day tour will cost you an entrance fee of P200.00 only, this is until 5pm. The overnight will cost you Php350.00, and I know it’s not that pricey but it will not be worth it if I’ll just stay there until 6pm. The place will charge you Php350.00 if you stay there beyond 5pm. Next time, I’ll be prepared and go there early and to really enjoy the place.

We arrived in the port at 3pm and paid for our boat fare for P15.00 only.

It’s a 5-10 minutes boat ride to the Paradise Island Beach Resort.

It wasn’t what I expected. I mean, the name is Paradise Island and I was expecting a “Paradise”. But it was a simple beach resort, nothing extravagant. It’s nice there but not “Paradise-Nice” for me. Though it’s a breather; I actually want to swim but the time is not on my side and that I don’t have clothes for swimming so… hahaha

But the goal was to relax and get a little time to pause and see the world. Be at peace and eat. Lol.

The place has this Birds Paradise, so I saw some birds there, chirping everywhere which made me feel much better.

I was there like literally 2 hours only, so that was really a bummer. Next time that I’ll be in Davao, I’ll plan for a getaway! 😀 I kinda feel like this post is just some kind of a filler like those from Anime Episodes. Haha. I got some bad quality photos and nothing interesting to talk about. LOL. I just want to blog because I feel like I was gone for a month!

But I promise, I’ll do my best for my next blogpost because it’s gonna be about Fantastic Beast and where to Find them!!  I’ll be watching the first screening this weekend and I’m so freakin’ excited about it! I can’t wait.

For the meantime, these are the bad quality photos I took in Samal Island. 🙂 Or you can check out my IG stories on my Bookstagram and Personal while they’re still there. hahaha 😀
